Well, well, well....what do you know? It's November already! This means several things to us; Kellen's 28th birthday on the 5th, our 5 year anniversary on the 10th, Thanksgiving, and my 29th birthday on the 28th! And to top of all that busyness off, let's do another IVF cycle! Since it is the month of Thanksgiving, I have to add that I am thankful for so many things at this point in my life. I won't go into details, but God has definitely blessed us in many ways.
While we're on the topic of November, let's quickly bring up this "Movember" nonsense. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know it's for a great cause; but if I find out that any of you had any part in encouraging Kellen to participate in this silliness, I will be sending him to your house to live for the remainder of this month so you can hang out with him in public. We all know (and if you don't, you do now) that Kellen has no business attempting to grow a mustache and/or a beard. Let's hold off a decade or so until he hits nears closer to his golden years and starts to pull in some stray greys that might help to fill it in a bit more.
Well, in regards to our IVF procedure this month, it looks like we wont be starting shots for a couple more weeks. The main surgical procedure, which is the "egg retrieval" (when they put me under and it takes 2-3 days to recover from) is looking to be a day or two after Josh's wedding on Dec. 1. The entire cycle will run real close to the exact dates of the cycle when I became pregnant with Khloe. So, it looks like we'll find out the final results right around Christmas Eve. Please keep praying -- Prayer works and we know it. Pray that, if it it God's will and timing, He would be with the doctors and embryologist and help my body to react properly to the medications. Pray for "A" baby (preferably not multiples). We know with IVF there's always a higher chance for multiples, but amazingly enough, when Khloe was created, there very well could have been 2-5 babies in there along with her! God knows what He's doing, so all we can do is trust in His plan.

I'm hoping for that Christmas Eve phone call again this year. I'm thankful for you, friend, and that little family of yours.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm anxious to see how it all goes. Having been through it all before, including pregnancy, definitely helps me to be more prepared! :-)
